Gifts In Memory Of or In Honor Of Individuals
Vassar College welcomes gifts made in memory of or in honor of alumnae/i, faculty or other individuals. Such gifts can be made to the Annual Fund for general support of the College’s educational mission, or donors may direct their support to specific purposes depending on the amount of funding available and approval of the College.
The procedures for making such gifts are similar to those for cash, check, credit card and securities as described above. Please be sure to identify the individual who is being honored with the gift. The Development Office will mail a receipt to each donor making a memorial gift. In addition, a family member or other designated individual connected to the deceased will be informed about gifts made. The name and address of each donor will be provided. For a gift in honor of a living individual, the procedure is similar, except the honoree will receive the information.
Questions about making a memorial gift, or making a gift in honor of someone, or creating a memorial fund, can be directed to Perry Liberty, Associate Director of Donor Relations, at (845) 437-7015.
