Mutual Funds

Another, increasingly popular way to give to Vassar while potentially saving on taxes is to donate shares of mutual funds. The benefits to the donor in such a transaction are similar to those that accompany a gift of securities.

To initiate a gift of securities or mutual fund shares, contact Vaike Riisenberg in the Controller’s Office at (845) 437-5896. Brokers should be instructed to include your name with the transfer of the shares to ensure proper crediting of the gift.
