Unrestricted gifts to the general endowment are perhaps the most profound way to demonstrate abiding commitment to Vassar and secure the institution's financial future. Gifts of any size can be made toward the general endowment. Gifts of $250,000 or more can be directed to establish a named endowed fund. Sixty percent of Vassar students receive some form of financial aid. The College is dedicated to meeting students' financial needs so that no qualified student is denied a Vassar education due to lack of means. This institutional commitment presents one of the most pressing challenges to the College's finances. A gift of $250,000 or more supports a named endowed scholarship fund. Gifts of any size can be added to the College's general endowment fund for scholarship.
